I had brought my car to this shop a couple of before this, and have not had a problem until now. Last week I had to have my car towed to this shop, due to it possibly needing an 'Alternator' replaced. The alternator did need to be replaced, but they also replaced my oil filter and did an oil change(because we had to take it off anyway, to get to the alternator, is what he said), and replaced 3 belts, ALL WITHOUT NOTIFYING ME. I just had an oil change 1,000 miles ago, and couldn't tell you if I actually needed the 3 belts replaced or not. Obviously I was not, am not happy about that. They ended up deducting the oil change fee, and gave me a 10% on the belts. Again, did they even need to be replaced? I really thought that I had found a mechanic/business that I could trust, but I guess not.

I have taken my older SUV to Joe's Auto Service for about 5 years, so I have had work done while Joe was the owner and now while Jim is the owner. I have been very pleased with both owners. Liked Joe a lot and also like Jim. I am female and he takes the time to explain things to me where I can understand. They always call me after they diagnose what is wrong and discuss any options I might have and costs involved. Very respectful when speaking to me. Steve that works there is also super nice. respectful and explains things to me. I have been ripped off by some other mechanics so now kind of a pain in the butt when I call a mechanic with lots of questions before they do the work. Always have been pleased with the work done at Joe's. Thanks guys for keeping my car on the road! Cheaper to keep her!
